PRIVACY NOTICE
How Mentela handles your data.
Last updated July 24, 2026
What we collect
When you start a run, Mentela collects the name and role you enter. During the roleplay, microphone audio is sent in real time to OpenAI so the simulated employee can respond. We store the conversation transcript, your score and coaching feedback, and technical details needed to operate and protect the service.
Mentela does not intentionally create or retain an audio recording. Please do not include confidential, sensitive, or identifying information about another person in a run.
How we use it
We use run data to deliver the roleplay, build your scorecard, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse. We also use it to make Mentela better: transcripts and scores help us understand what good leadership conversations look like, refine our scenarios and scoring, and develop and improve the AI coaching that powers the product. Where practical, we de-identify data before using it this way. We do not sell your personal information.
OpenAI processes live audio and transcript content as an API service provider. Its handling is governed by the OpenAI API data controls.
How long we keep it
We keep run data for as long as it is useful for the purposes above, so you can come back to a scorecard and so the coaching keeps getting smarter. If you would rather not leave a run behind, the Delete this run control on your private result page removes the run, its transcript, and its scorecard from the service. De-identified data that no longer identifies you may be retained.
If you lose the private link, use the contact path below. We may ask for enough information to locate the run, but we will not ask you to post transcript content publicly.
Private results and public shares
Treat the private result link like a password. Anyone who has it can view or delete the run. The separate public share card includes only the score, archetype, scenario topic, and level. It does not include your transcript, name, role, audio, or company.
